RONNIE DECK

Coach Deck brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Staff here at Beast Baseball.  He has extensive experience in college and professional baseball as a coach and a player.  He will be instructing on all facets of the game with specialization in Catching/Baserunning/Mental Preparation. 

 At the professional ranks, he spent two season with the Tampa Bay Rays, reaching AA level in the second season.  He also played 5 seasons in the independent leagues.  His coaching experiences include time as the Bullpen Catcher and assistant to the Hitting Coach for the Baltimore Orioles, AAA New Orleans assistant coach, and hitting/catching coach for the Windy City Thunderbolts,  He has also spent time as a international scout for the Baltimore Orioles and attended the MLB Scouting Bureau.  

Along with his professional experience, Coach Deck also has extensive college and high school level experience as head coach, assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.  He has been on more that 8 collegiate coaching staffs and is very well-known in the baseball community as one of the best recruiters out there.  

He was a 4-year letter winner at Cameron University and Oklahoma Christian University.  He was a 2-time ALL SAC catcher at Oklahoma Christian.  

He currently lives in Lovington, NM and serves as the Head Coach at Lovington, NM HS.
